Elementary test for Nitrate in Water
Nitrate in water can arise from natural sources. More probable causes are from agricultural fertilizers and sewage. Nitrates in water is especially harmful to infants, and the BIS recommends a maximum limit of 45 mg/l with no relaxation.
The Elementary test for Nitrate uses two reagents, and has a maximum range of 50 mg/l.
